Design, implement and test embedded C software for the next generation automotive vision system. Work closely with multiple groups including program management, systems, research and development, hardware, test, and tools. Familiar with Autosar and MISRA compliance, code coverage, static analysis, mock unit testing, system testing, integration testing, software simulation, hardware in the loop and device emulation. Multiple communication protocols including I2C, SPI, CAN, TCP, UDP, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Mi-Wi, SMTP, DNS and DHCP.
Design multi-unit test fixtures, panels, printed circuit boards and automation software for production calibration and acceptance test stations. Avionics and Electrical Lead for the SmartDeck/Cirrus SR22 certification and OEM installation, on-site at Cirrus. DO-178b, Level B software V&V testing, code coverage collection and analysis, and problem report submittal for a "glass cockpit" integrated flight control and display system.
Military software V&V testing for the Control Display Unit in the Boeing P8-A anti-submarine reconnaissance aircraft. Helped establish the Belcan software engineering group, which previously did not exist in the Grand Rapids area. Worked directly with the customer to meet commitments, negotiate schedule and assets, and obtain new work authorizations.
Integrated avionics into part 23 aircraft (Cirrus SR20, SR22 and experimental). Worked closely with production to incorporate new designs and installations that reduced workload and improved station time in the assembly line process. Demonstrated the ability to work independently and see projects through from concept to production.
